Hospitality Reimagined Workshop at Roma Tre University

The Hospitality Reimagined Workshop at the Architecture Summer School programme at Roma Tre University offers students a comprehensive insight into hospitality architecture through a combined schedule of theoretical lectures and practical applications.

Participants will analyse case studies, join interactive lectures and engage in targeted laboratory sessions. Topics include hotel classification by chain, brand or independent structures, their use (business or leisure), categorisation by stars, sizes and building types, and the interior design of rooms and common spaces.

Emphasis will be on sustainable practices and advanced energy management technologies. Final projects will be judged by experts in architecture and hospitality, providing feedback and rewarding innovation, originality and feasibility.

The workshop aims to train designers in hotel architecture from concept to detailed construction, focusing on advanced assembly techniques used by market operators. This training addresses market demands in architectural hotel design, interior design, construction details, modular design and bespoke product design.

The teaching part, coordinated by professor Chiara Tonelli and enriched by contributions from professors Stefano Converso, Marco Frascarolo and Luca Montuori and architect Barbara Cardone from the Department of Architecture of the University of Roma Tre, will be led by architect Alessio Venturi, director of Venturi Architects.
